Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 September 2026
This notice explains how PURE People Profiling (“we”, “us”) handles personal data when you use our website and My Pure. It is written to align with the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR, and the UK Data Protection Act 2018. It is a general statement of our approach, not legal advice.
Who is responsible
We decide how and why personal data is used for our website, accounts, and profiling tools, except where we process data only on a business customer’s instructions. In that case they decide the purpose and we follow their documented instructions.
To contact us about privacy, use the contact options on our website.
What we collect
- Account details such as name, email address, and a stored password (held in a form that cannot be read as the original password).
- Name, email address, and phone number if you register interest on our website.
- Name and email if a company invites you to complete an assessment by link, even if you do not create a My Pure account.
- Organisation details if you are linked to a company in My Pure.
- Assessment answers, scores, style results, and any name or email you give when completing a profile.
- Technical data needed to run the service, such as a sign-in session cookie, approximate time of login, and basic server logs.
We do not ask for special category data (for example health, ethnicity, or political views) as part of the standard service.
Why we use it
- To create and manage your account, and to let you sign in.
- To follow up if you register interest in our services.
- To send operational emails you asked for, such as an assessment invite, a password-reset link, or a copy of a completed profile.
- To provide the assessment, reports, and related tools, including team reports shared by link with people the company chooses.
- To keep the service secure and to fix problems.
- To respond to enquiries and to meet legal duties.
We rely on one or more of: performing a contract with you or your organisation; our legitimate interests in running a secure service; a legal obligation; and, where the law requires it, consent. You can withdraw consent where that is the basis we use.
Who we share it with
We share data only as needed to operate the service (for example trusted hosting or IT providers), when a company administrator in your organisation is entitled to see it, or when the law requires us to. We do not sell personal data.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, including a reasonable period after an account is closed so we can resolve queries and meet record-keeping duties. We then delete or irreversibly anonymise it where we can.
Cookies
My Pure uses a session cookie so we can keep you signed in. It is necessary for the service to work. You can block cookies in your browser, but you may not be able to stay signed in.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may ask us to access, correct, delete, or restrict your data, to object to certain uses, or to receive a copy in a portable format. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or to your local EU supervisory authority.
These rights are not always absolute. We will explain if an exception applies.
International transfers
If we use providers outside the UK or EEA, we take steps required by UK and EU law, such as approved contract clauses or a recognised adequacy decision.
Automated decisions
The profiling tool produces a behavioural snapshot from your answers. It is not used by us to make solely automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects about you.
Changes
We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top will change when we do. Please check it when you use the service.
